About Me

Hello! My name is Caroline, and welcome to From Brown to Green.

I started this blog after graduating from Brown University in May 2017 (hence the title).  After graduating, I spent three months living in Switzerland working in the Chemicals & Waste Branch of the UN Environment Programme. In September 2017, I moved to London to pursue a master’s degree in Environmental Economics and Climate change at the London School of Economics. After finishing my degree I will stay on in London as an analyst an an economic consulting firm that specializes in environmental projects.

I am making decreasing my personal environmental footprint a priority in my post-grad life because I want my personal life to reflect the same values that I hold in my academic and professional life. The main purpose of this blog is to hold myself accountable to My Monthly Challenges, but I also plan to write about sustainability and the environment in other ways. I occasionally write about food and recipes since I love to cook and I am also passionate about reducing food waste and environmental impact through consumption. This blog will also serve as a way to keep my family and friends back in the States connected to my life in the UK.

If you’d like to learn more about me in a professional context, please visit my resume website by clicking here. If you’re interested in pun-based environmental humor, follow me on Twitter (@Caroline_Vexler) or Instagram (@Caroline_Vexler).

Thanks for stopping by!
